The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT, building V)
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong
The Jockey Club Innovation Tower is home to School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Located at the northeastern tip of the university campus, the tower would be the new driving force in the development of Hong Kong as a design hub in Asia.
As one of the masterpieces designed by Zaha Hadid, the awardee of the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004, the main character of the tower is “fluid”. These fluid internal and external courtyards create new public spaces of an intimate scale which complement the large open exhibition forums and outdoor recreational facilities to promote a diversity of civic spaces.
